Space bags

I'm not trying to start up the yucky bedspread discussion...however I take my own blankets + pillow cases and just use a space bag. Suck out all the air and in my suitcase it goes! Good for clothes too.

Space bags rule. I've borrowed them from my mom before and plan on getting some of our own this trip. We have limited space in our car this year(taking our Pacifica instead of our van) so I need them thar Space bags...

I also use the large ziplock bags instead of the smaller space saver bags. In the 2.5 gallon bags, I can fit about the same amount as in the small space savers. They are cheaper and I don't feel bad if one rips or I throw it out.

So glad this topic was brought up. Here is my question. We always use our Space bags, and big Ziplocks. We always fly, so is it ok to use them right now. What my question is. If TSA is really looking over each bag, will they open them? I would hate to have my stuff tossed in the trash because it would not fit into the suitcase. LOL

I have a question...it may be stupid but I have blonde tendancies!!!!

If you vacuum the air out of the space bag, how do you vacuum it out in Disney? Do you just squeeze the air out the best you can?

I just bought some space bags at HD and before I got a chance to put the 2 bags away, my darling kitties bit holes in them...I can't turn my back for a second...what happened to scardy cats that hide all the time???

Depending on how "puffy" the bags are when I pack to come home, I may just squeeze as much air out as possible, but then, if I can't close my suitcase I'd probably just stop Mousekeeping with a vacumn for a minute!
(These 2.5 gallon zip bags sound great - never seen them in Canada)
