Space 220 to temporarily stop serving lunch during refurbishment

I have a lunch reservation on the 19th. I planned my whole trip around being at Epcot that day just for this reservation. So far I have not gotten a cancellation email.

What is there to refurb? Its been open like 4 years and is just big screens inside? Seems its something you hire a night team for that comes after the restaurant closes and you are done in a couple days with paint touchups.

Was at Space 220 lounge last Friday. Noticed some floor work but nothing big. We had a reservation for 2 for lunch & another reservation for 2 for dinner. Got a call that that lunch needed to be rescheduled. The CM put the 4 of us on the dinner reservation.

Unless they can muster up the courage to provide a completely unique menu for this slot, that “temporary” closure may end up permanent.

We had a lunch reservation on the 19th and it didn’t get canceled although I kind of wish it had . 1.5 hours in the restaurant 1 hour was spent waiting for food. The appetizer was amazing but the main was just okay. Also it wasn’t an amazing theme experience either. Would’ve rather ate quick service and spent $140 elsewhere

I actually never been there but I am heading to Epcot in a few months.

An HOUR? They must have let half the kitchen staff off for now or are refurbing stuff in the kitchen. That’s nuts!
