Hi,
We have a party of 5 and we were able to get a Space 220 Lounge for 2 + 2 + 2 (we booked it this way, so our parties can individually check for 3 ppl by adding 1 extra, instead of 2 extra). First 2 groups exactly at the same time and the last one 10 minutes after.

We are okay splitting between 2+3, but I am afraid if we will end up 2+ 2+ 1 somewhere. Is this something we can ask upon check-in?

Also would we face the penalty if only 1 shows up for 2 ppl ressie? (we will be doing crazy refresh until then, but just in case we cannot make 2+3 work?)

Lastly, should we do dinner or lunch? Any recommendations? Lunch is at 12:40 and Dinner is at 6:40.

Thanks in advance!

The lounge tables are for 2 or 4 from what I saw. A party of 3, if you can get it, has to be at a 4 top anyway.

Crazy thing-I’ve had several situations of searching for 3 for dining reservations and nothing shows available. When I change the search to four, all kinds of options would come up. I’m convinced the Disney reservation system does not like odd numbers. 😂

Maybe try for a 4, keep one of the 2 reservations, so you can sit 2/3 at whichever tables, on 2 reservations instead of 3. Make sense?

Never hurts to ask but the seating and configurations in the lounge are very limited.

Only 1 person needs to appear for a reservation avoid penalty, regardless of how many the reservation is for.

Thank you. It never crossed our mind to check for 4, so we will do that going forward. Right now, there are no availabilities, but hopefully something will pop up!

Yes, we really hope to just do 2+3 (or 4) instead of 2+2+2.

Do you recommend lunch or dinner? or are they the same thing?

I’m not sure but doesn’t the lounge have its own menu which is the same all day long? We had lunch in the regular restaurant part, but it’s all in the same room anyway.

My kids wanted nothing to do with the dinner menu but desperately wanted to see inside and experience the new location so we did lunch as it was cheaper and at least had a burger on the menu. 😄

It was a one and done for us. Very expensive and while neat inside, the food was just ok. We each got something different on the lunch menu so we would be able to have a variety and no one was overly thrilled with any of it.

I’m glad we did it for the experience.

Lounge has its own menu - more like small bites - and same all day long.
We wanted the 'experience', but not so keen about a 2 or 3 course meal with the price tag and was told food is just so-so. So we have decided to opt-out for the lounge instead.

Do you think - in terms of location, plans for the rest of the day (whether we'll be at the World Showcase area or not), and all that, would lunch makes sense? Or should we do dinner and go watch Fireworks right after? (our ADR is at 6:40 and Firework is at 9:00). Is that too tight? too much of wasted time?

used to be true precovid it was usually easier to get an even number ressie than an odd number one.

This is a longstanding, well-known glitch in Disney's dining reservation system. I always recommend that if you have an odd number in your party and the system says there's no availability, add one more and try again. There's no penalty for showing up with one less person than the reservation is for - in fact, there's no penalty as long as at least one person shows up. And I've read of guests dining solo who had to make ADRs for parties of 4 just to get an ADR!

ADR at 6:40 …figure you get seated within 15 mins or so, plan for 60-90 mins in space, return to earth by 8:30 and settle into a spot for fireworks…sounds like a wonderful evening!

Try modifying as well. I had a reservation for four and it will only be the two of us and the system let me modify my four to two
