Space 220 Lounge ADR for 4 no more?

Unless I snag a Lounge, we won't ever be going back. I guess they are making a profit with the few they seat.

By experience and info passed on I've heard the line outside is (1) Restaurant reservations (2) Sitting at Bar only. No line for Lounge tables, which we would have preferred but they said NOPE.

I know on one trip I asked the server why so many empty tables when folks are trying so hard to get in, she said they can only seat what the kitchen can handle. They just are not staffed for a full seating.

The way I see it is ~ the cost of the restaurant was so high we did not order drinks. If we were seated in the Lounge not only would we be ordering a variety of food but also overpriced alcoholic drinks. Probably spend close to same.

I think it is more the staffing issue, keeping the kitchen more streamlined if less variety is sold.
If it's a staffing issue, then why would I have been able to book multiple tables of 2 around the same time or within 5-15 minutes...still seems weird...maybe they want those groups larger than 2 but under 5 to be forced to do the pre-fixe or not go. Because like you we wouldn't go if I had to do the restaurant...but would order 3-4 apps plus multiple alcoholic drinks in the lounge.

My party of 3 is checking in 9/6/2025, so our 60+10 window just opened this week. On the day our reservations opened, the 3 of us each-- 2 of whom are seasoned WDW veterans!-- tried for Space 220 Lounge ahead of everything else. Our computers were synced with official time, the works. We were in 3 different locations on all kinds of devices. Our game plan was to go for Space 220 Lounge and then worry about other restaurants. None of us was able to get a table between 9/6-9/12. On 9/13 there was some availability, but that is our check-out day and we're leaving at sunrise. On the other hand, tables for 2 were still available on 9/12, so we grabbed one of those and 1 of the 3 of us will just have to miss it. Not ideal!

We did manage to get everything else we wanted, for which I am grateful! But honestly wondering, what did we do wrong?? Other than not booking a 10-day vacation, I guess?

Two of us went last weekend (4th of July wekend) and were able to snag a ressie the day of. I could be wrong, but it seemed like there were more tables of 2 and less tables of 4 than in previous visits. The whole lounge space felt more cramped....but maybe I was just imagining things. We did take the space elevator with a party of 6 that was seated at the bar....so there is always hope.

If it isn't available in inventory, you can't book it. Even when 4 tops were consistently available I could usually only snag them towards the end of an 8 day trip.

Why didn't your single person book their own res and all of you plan to show up a bit early and request to be seated next to each other?

I'm also not going back unless I get a lounge reservation. It's so pricey; while there are some standout menu items, I just don't think the prix fixe menu is worth it.

I had a two notifications that reservations for 4 opened up on a few days on my trip in 3 weeks... I was too slow to see the notification and were gone before I could reserve :(

So it does seem like there is limited availability for parties of 4.

I booked at my 60 day mark at 7am a party of 3 for the lounge on my last day of my trip . I wasn’t able to get any other day at all. It’s our 1st time so I’ll take it!
