SPA services

I,ve noted that most of the SPA,s at WDW do not let you use the facilities (sauna, steam etc) unless having treatments. I seem to remember the GF charging a 'one off' payment for length of stay that allowed access to the SPA facilities. Does anybody know if this is still the arrangement and if other WDW spa resorts such as SSR offer this option?

All of the Spas on property are run by the same company, so the rules are the same everywhere.
