I plan on enjoying a spa treatment and am having difficulty narrowing it down to 1 or 2 or even 3! I may splurge and do several. I think the Absolute face & body looks good, the tropical rainforest is cheap enough to try for a day, the algae detox sounds intersting, the alpha capsule sounds restful, and of course, the full body massage sounds real good. How do I pick only a few? What have all of you tried? Was it worth it? Do you tip the masseuse? or attendant? If so, how much? Is it hard to get ressies for a spa treatment? I don't know when to plan a treatment cuz, God forbid, I may miss something else going on. When is a dead timeto fill with a spa treatment? We are going on the 4 day Wonder, June 9th.

We just got back and I loved the absolute face and body treatment! It seemed to be the longest treatment. I was very relaxed...and I'm sure I fell asleep even though I had just gotten up.
I would have loved to try the alpha capsule, but I just didn't have time. Btw, it isn't offered on its own anymore. They pair it with the hydro therapy treatment. (insider tip...you can book it alone for $41 or sign up for the Body Mass evaluation, or whatever it's called and "the attendant" told me you get the alpha capsule complimentary...all for $27! So if you don't mind them telling you what's wrong with your body for 20 mins, book it and you'll save $14.)
There is just too much to do on and off the ship. Don't try to do it all. Pick a couple things each day to do and then fill in other activities as time allows. You'll drive yourself crazy and run yourself ragged if you try to do it all. Most of all RELAX! Your on vacation...I'd say book the spa.

I can't remember what the official name is, but I did that Seaweed wrap thing on my last cruise and I hate to say that I thought it was a HUGE waste of money. All it did for me was turn me green for a while and make me REALLY hot! They put this green stuff all over you and wrap you in towels and this aluminium Foil stuff. I felt like a baked potato. The massage was nice, but I could have gotten that from a regular massage (Mmmmm....Cabana Massages are WONDERFUL!)

I didn't really feel like the treatment removed anything from my body except the $144 that it cost to have it!

I LOVED the Facial, the couples massage on the ship, and the couples massage on Castaway Cay. My husband swears by the Rainforest room. We are in the minority in that we were not too fond of the Suriel Bath. I thought it was WAAAAY too hot.

Hope that helps!

but it was fun and our skin was so soft after! I'm getting very close to convincing my dh to add a surial ritual chamber (the new name for it) to our house! ;)
I think the next time, we would ask how to turn off the steam and take some water to drink(the attendant said she would bring us some but got side tracked because our 5 yr old had beeped my dh when he went into the locker room...so she found him a phone and forgot about our water). I kept comfortable by running the cool faucets in the middle of the steam room, often. I must admit, my skin has never felt so good. I meant to ask if they sold the mud and sea salts. I truly would love to do this once a week at home. I guess I'll have to ask at my local spa.
We did tip for both the surial and my absolute face and body. I think dh tipped about $10 for the surial and I tipped $25 for AF&B. Tipping is totally at your disgression though. I tipped bigger since Kylie was so nice about not pushing products on me. A polite, no thanks, and that was it. No high pressure sales pitch.
I hope this helps in some way for you to make up your mind.

On my next cruise I am planning on only doing the Hydrotherapy bath/Booster Capsule (it did wonders for my back) and I will DEFINITELY get the week long pass for the Rain Forest room. Those were the two things that I really felt were worth MY money.

I did the full body massage and was not impressed. It was okay, but didn't compare to the facial I had at a resort spa a few years back.

It was, however, nice to get an hour of mommy time!

ALL is good! ;)

Good luck. I'm sure whatever you do, you'll love it! My vote is for the AF&B...but that's just me! I wish I had tried the alpha capsule too. Have fun, whatever you do!
