Spa product ingredients?

I’d like to book a massage during our cruise but have an allergy to a certain preservative. Is there an easy way to find out if the products have this ingredient without being annoying? I have a gluten allergy as well, and I hate feeling high maintenance.

As this is about your health, you shouldnt worry about the person who can give you the information and what they will think about you.

I think with all the stupid requests people can make on a trip, this is not one of them and I would not consider you high maintenance. High maintenance to me is making 274 requests about products you need to have, like that you can only eat dairy from a goat farm in Italy where the goats are milked by the light of a full moon ;)

As producers can change the ingredients of their products, I wouldn't even rely on DCL to ask the question on forehand, but go to the spa and ask them, then you are sure. I would book the appointment now with a remark about your allergy.

I agree with Karen1984— asking about ingredients that will negatively affect your health is not being high-maintenance.

If you go to the spa in person, you will be able to get an accurate answer from someone looking at the exact products currently in use. If the typical product does have the ingredient you can’t use, the spa team should be able to tell you if there are other products that you could safely use for the massage you booked, or if other types of massages would use safe products.

So much of this made me laugh 😊 thank you.
I think I will book what I want to hold my spot, then visit day 1 and see if they can easily answer. I don’t have a problem cancelling. Would just be nice to get my massage.

Can you bring some oil that you can use just in case they dont have a formulation that will work for you. If it were me, I doubt I'd be able to relax enough to enjoy the massage if there was even a slim chance I'd get dosed with something that I was allergic to.

*snip* like that you can only eat dairy from a goat farm in Italy where the goats are milked by the light of a full moon ;)

Hey, some of us are intolerant to goat milk procured in the daylight!

I would probably not worry about a massage if I have to bring my own stuff. Not that important. I’ll have some extra ice cream on the deck instead 😂

Which product? Concierge has Elemis products, and the regular rooms have H2O products.

The Green H2O shampoo (I think it is Sea Salt). My understanding is that this is in all rooms now, even concierge. Since DCL has gone to the large bottles, they don't have Elemis in the concierge rooms any more.
