Spa/jaccuzi vs. hot tub??

I've been going through hundreds of pool rental house listings - mostly looking for a 5B/4Bath. There is one thing, and only one thing my husband really likes to have on a vacation....at "hot tub". So, I've only been looking at listings that say "spa", etc. They are almost all integrated into a corner of the pool, some raised up a bit, some not. Some appear to have a "water fall" from the hot tub into the pool.
Then I started noticing that most (except for maybe one or two) only list one price to heat "pool/spa". We don't want bubbling pool temperature water...we want it to be hot like if you were at a hotel/resort. Do the "spas" at most of houses actually get hotter than the pool? Or is this unusual and most will only get the pool temp? I sure hope not! I've been looking at the Windors, Formosa, as well as several not too far from intersection of 192 and 27.
Any guidance on what is the "norm" would be great!

Most pools only have one heater on them, so you need to have both the pool & spa heating, however, the heaters do have two thermostats on them, so while the spa can be really hot the pool will only be 84-89 degrees.

If the pool has two heaters, or has been plumbed in a certain way then it will be possible to only have the spa heating turned on, if this is the case it should be cheaper.

If they have a spa connected onto their pool they will have a separate control for the spa heat so it can be turned up hotter than the pool water, the one in our home is completley separate to the pool and has it's own controls

The waterfall pool & spas have one heater to heat all the water. There will be a switch for spa heat that adjusts the valves so all the heated water goes to the spa and it will get much hotter than the pool. It works fine.

I love the hot spa too. The home we stayed in the spa was heated but we did not have pool heat as it was in August. The spa did flow into the pool so there was a noce warm spot in the pool.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like we will easily be able to get a nice hot spa..I will just be sure to verify with owner before I book..
