My son must drink soy milk instead of cow's milk. Can we find it at CS and TS places? We are staying at the Poly. Is there someplace there to buy it? He would like to have his usual chocolate silk soy milk with his meals.

Thanks

WDW does have soy milk. I have seen it at both TS and Food court areas.

While they do make soy milk readily available it may be hard to find onsite chocolate soy milk. You can ship it to the hotel or take a cab over to Whole Foods Market which carries a wide variety of vegan, organic and allergen free products. I spends about $300 to $500 a month there buying gluten free bread and soy free cookies.

You can order it from Gardengrocer.com to have delivered to your WDW resort so that you don't have to worry about locating it. They have packages that do not need refrigeration.

Our daughter drinks Silk Very Vanilla flavor. I remember being able to buy her soymilk, but it was either plain, or just "vanilla". I don't remember any chocolate soy milk. When we couldn't find soy milk, we just let her drink soda or fruit juice, since we also avoid dairy milk.

I had chocolate silk soy milk at the Food place in the Land. In fact the chef pointed it out to me when I asked if the soups were dairy free. Both were vegetarian btw.

My GD also drinks soy milk and while we have a car we don't see a problem getting it, but just wondering what others do when eating out. This is the first time with GD since it was determined she is latose intolerate. How complicated will it be finding something for her to eat. Since she can not have any dairy (milk, butter, cheese) it rules out lots of choices that are served in WDW. We even peel the crust off of the chicken nuggets because of the batter, heck she can't even have hot dogs because there is dairy in them. We are hoping that Beaches& Cream serves a rice ice cream as we are hoping to visit often. I tried searching but got tire of looking at the blue dog and gave up. Since it appears lots of folks here use Silk, is it because your child can't have any dairy?

We have gotten it from Gardengrocer, too.
You can purchase it at the Gift Shop/General Store at the resorts.
You can also purchase it at your grocery store and take with you,
'cause you can buy soy milk that does not have to be in the refrig.

Disney is wonder in dealing with this. We just had "allergen free" chicken at the food court at Movies. My DD was thrilled. Each park sells rice dream or tofutti ice cream. Beaches and cream serves it as well. When you get there as to speak to a manager due to allergies. The table service places also serve soy milk.

We visited two Septembers ago and we were able to get both chocolate and vanilla soy milk at all of the CS and TS eateries we ate at. However, if one were to only have vanilla soy milk, could you ask them to add some chocolate syrup to it for him? Most of those places have it for ice cream sundae making materials. I hope you have a great trip! :wizard:

I was there this past Christmas and my DD only drinks soy, and is also peanut allergic. We stayed at POR but had dinner at the Luau, and they had Soy, and at every other restuarant had it, or went and got it, plus they gave me extra! I have a back pack with a built in cooler bag, and would keep a couple of cool packs in there so I could get these extra milks.

In the Magic Kingdom a Quick service place is the little restaurant next to the bridge that goes behind the castle called Sleepy Hollow.

In Epcot we got it at Akehaus, Norway restaurant.

In Hollywood we got it at Hollywood and Vine

And at Animal Kingdom, Tusker House

Any of these will let you just buy the milk without having a dinner.

POR food court had it, but that is the reason we stayed there, they have such a great food court.

Any ADR you have, call and notify them of the allergy, and they will have everything you need!

It really is a wonderful place!

Michelle

This past week I saw both vanilla and chocolate Silk soy milk at Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion and I am almost certain also in the gift shop at AKL. I remember because I like Silk chocolate soy milk and thought of getting it, but they also had Nestle Chocolate Milk (low fat) so I got that instead.
