Anyone's child have a soy allergy? And if so, are they just in danger if they eat soy, or if they are around it at all?
It's the only allergy in DS's class this year, and in the past, with a peanut allergy, we couldn't send in snacks that that said "processed in a facility that also handles peanuts", because of the airborne nature of that one. But I was surprised that I haven't gotten any notes home this time. - Should I be watching for similar warnings for soy, or does this allergy just work differently?
P.S. - The children do not share snacks, and any class treats of course I would scrutinize and send in labels for.
