My daughter is 8 and are leaving in 48 hours for WDW :yay:

She has friends for whom she wants to bring back something for everyone  are there cheap stores or are T-shirts and small knick-knacks cheap around WDW!

If you don't have a car and need something on Disney property, there is a store at Downtown Disney where everything is under $10. It is right by Pooh's Corner and Disney Tails. I think it is called Mickey Mart!? They have a section that has green X on the price tag which means they are 4/$10. Great place to pick park merchandise at a good price. The selection of sale items changes all the time so check back often during your trip.

If you have a car, International Drive is packed with cheap shops. Or check for Character Warehouse Outlets where Disney clears out their stuff.

Enjoy your trip.

again if you do have a car there used to a be a store in the belz outlet mall that had all things disney and universal for dirty cheap.

We like to bring back pressed pennies. Your DD will have fun making them for her friends, each friend will get her own unique pressed penny, and they will only cost you 50cents + 1cent.

Something else we have done for friends is buy a postcard of their favourite character, and then get that character to sign it for them. You can take a picture of the character signing it and include that as well. Characters will also sign other things as long as they are a fairly hard service and you have a Sharpie marker. We have bought Disney hats at Walmart or other discount places for really cheap and brought them down with us and had the characters sign those. Don't expect the characters to stand there and sign a bunch of things at once, but you can have them done a few at a time during your trip. Character meals are a great place to do this!

The Wal-mart on 535 and the Target on 192 have very large Disney merchandise sections. Wal-mart is cheaper.

Just outside of the DTD hotel area there are a few of those souvenir shops. They have lots of Disney and FL merchandise.

Aside from those, I agree that the cheapest place is the Mickey Mart in DTD. If you don't find somehthing there go to World of Disney. If you can't find 'it' there it doesn't exsist.

The food court had Mickey Straws for about .50 each. There are also pins, charms or beads with different prices.

I think the beads (cheap) would be neat for that age group-they should fit on lace up shoes for an extra decoration.

My dd buys Princess necklaces for around $10 in the resort store. S

The chocolate bars or candies come in Disney packaging. It can be a nice souvenir that is only available in the parks.

Probably too late, but one of the easiest souveniers we found and the most inexpensive were the tins of mints. A huge selection with lots of different characters on them, good tasting mints inside and a nice metal container. They were less than $2 for most of them (larger tins were more). We found these in our resort as well as throughout the parks.
We also brought back animal cracker type cookies that were in Mickey and Friends shapes that were less than $3. Everyone loved what we brought back and it didn't take up a lot of room in our luggage or break our budget!

Go to the store called Character Connections.

It is off season Disney stuff, or last years items. We go every trip!

You can even use Disney gift cards there.

If your kids like to do pin trading, you can get them cheap ($2 or $3 each instead of $6 - $8), and then go trade in the park.
