Ok, I leave in 3 weeks and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what to bring back for co-workers? I'd like to bring back something relatively inexpensive, but unique. Thanks for any suggestions.

One year I brought back pens/pencils and put a copy of each park map in the bag(a disney bag of course). The people back at the office loved it and I kept the $$ low. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I bought a box of disney candy and took it back for the breakroom. I guess I am cheap and don't do much more than that.

It's hard to say without knowing more about your situation. I have different "levels" of co-workers, some I consider "more than associates" but "less than friends". I have a moral "flexibility" when it comes to gift giving and don't believe that everyone is equal (sorry, that's just me). Some get pens and stickers while others get stuffed animals, back scratchers (they are just really cute), my closest co-worker "requests" cherry bings from Giradelli's, and still others get nothing. I'm pretty discrete about giving, so no one feels left out, but I'm also still immature enough not to bring someone I don't like something back. This year I'm thinking about pins as well. I've read about some people giving antenna toppers (which I think is great). There is one person I always bring back Beaker things for (because she IS beaker, me meme mee me me). I think there is one or two people I might bring back Angel Art for. There is an entire "world" of possibilities and never a short supply of merchandise!

PS, sorry for all the quotes!!

One year I went to Mexican Pavilion at Epcot where they do the glass blowing. they had little glass fish for $3. I bought a few of them.

When I go in June I plan on getting pens/pencils and maybe a stuffed animal or something small. When a coworker went last fall he brought us back cute pens!

If the co-worker is covering your responsibilities while you are gone then a little something might be in order but other then that I don't see a need to bring things back.

That said I have never brought anything back. When I gone my work just piles up and is waiting for me when I get back.

LOL....that is too funny! One of my co-workers said "you better bring me back a T-shirt" thought that was kind of rude. I read somewhere that AK has these little citrus trees for like $5.00 maybe that would be a cute idea. Guess I'll have to wait until I get there. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

since I have like 35 co workers they aren't getting anything
except the closest friends of mine. My desk partner and closest friends will get something for covering for me while I'm gone plus a little something for both her kids. Plus I have about 5 others who will get a little something.

I was thinking of the those popular rubber type bracelets that they have with mickey head $2-$3 bucks each.

I always bring back character gummies ..... $2.75 a bag or the small bags of pretzels shaped like Mickey - I think about 79 cents............ also the small Mickey shaped soaps. Oh, and for kids ........ the mickey shaped colored plastic straws you can buy in the food courts for about 25 cents. Or a mini charm .....the ones for sale to make a charm bracelet.... you can get these in just about any character and they are about $3 and really easy to transport. I don't think people expect a lot, but they do appreciate being remembered. I also sometimes call my co workers/office friends during a parade and let them hear what's going on. They really seem to appreciate that I am thinking of them and want to share the magic.

I saw that they have Livestrong Mickey bracelets. I think they are less than $3. It depends on what types of people your co-workers are, but I thought these were cute.

When we went last year, I found these really cute Mickeys, Minnies, Tinkerbells, etc. that were on wires attached to suction cups that you put on your computer screen. I'm sure they have an official name, but right now it escapes me. I think they were about $6. Everybody loved them and still have them. Makes me smile and think our trip. :teeth: Kind of a gift for me, too.

Those sound really cute! Would you happen to remember where you found them?

Too funny! :rotfl2: I get to disagree with my sister!! I got one of these too (but for myself because I'm a firm believer in the "one gift for you, two gifts for me" theory of life) (got them at the World of Disney store, by the way) and I could not keep the darn thing stuck!! :badpc: It would stay up a couple of days and then just fall off!! I eventually just gave up and ended up putting it in the curio! :rolleyes2

On a side note, it left a really cruddy ring on the screen as well (definitely won't stick to the monitor shell).

I too got mine at World of Disney. I don't have any problem with it sticking to the screen. It has been there since February 2004 and only came off when I moved from one office to the other. Some of the folks that work with me have them taped to the outside of the monitor though. I guess that way they are not in the field of view on the screen, and one doesn't have to worry about them falling off or leaving a "really cruddy ring".LYMI

Depends on how many people you are buying for...

When we went in March we stayed on property and they give you THE cutest little Mickey soaps to use in the bathroom. We asked for two soaps every day we were there, so I had enough to cover all the "acquaintances" back home.

My honey brought his co-workers bags of those mickey pretzels. You can buy them in Downtown Disney for $2.50 a bag.

both were cute...I was looking for mostly ladies, where my honey was buying for all guys.

I had a big staff meeting scheduled for the day after I got back last year. Some of my team members work in remote offices, and I had never met them before. So, I got some great mouse pads from the Belz outlet store (under $2 each) and then I also bought some character pens to give to each of my team members. Everyone seemed to really appreciate them.

One of my team mates who works in San Francisco brought some Ghirardelli chocolates for each of us for the meeting, so it ended up being a fun souvenir exchange.

I've got my monitor stickers to stay on with Fun Tak. You should have seen my bosses face after I finished decorating my brand new 17" LCD screen with them on the sides & figment on top.
