We saw "souvenir sippers" for sale at a couple counter service places. They were fairly large cups with straws and either Woody or Buzz on top.

I would guess it's a refillable plastic cup with a lid so you can use it again and again.

Where is the reservation for? We've gotten different cups at different places. It'll be a reusable plastic cup with lid, and probably a plastic reusable straw also.

That's exactly what I thought. The reservation was for the Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue. What we actually got? The paper to go cups that you get with any kids meal. I even asked, thinking there must be a mistake. He told me that those indeed were the "souvenir sippers". I was more than a bit disappointed.

That is absolutely not the souvenir sipper they used to give. It sounds to me like they were out and told you something that was untrue to cover it. We have 3 souvenir cups from there that are actually pretty nice little plastic cups with lids, the last one we got was over the summer. I am sorry!

Yeah that doesn't sound right! I would say you definitely got ripped off there.

We got the souvenir sippers for our kids from the Big Thunder BBQ about 3 weeks ago - they are (fairly cheap) plastic cups with equally cheap plastic lids, with an opening for a straw (straw not included). Something that is definitely not going to last for more than a few months with frequent washing, and something I'd definitely not put in the dishwasher. So really, nothing to write home about. Definitely not as fancy as the Buzz Lightyear ones, but certainly nicer than the regular paper to-go cups!

Thanks, everyone! That is so frustrating to me. When we made the reservations, I explained to the twins all about it and told them they'd be getting a souvenir sipper and they were disappointed. I think I might send off an email, even though I know it won't accomplish anything, because I'm sure it will make me feel better at least

I would have pressed the matter more at the time, but I spoke to the waiter and he assured me that WAS the souvenir sipper and, frankly, I was just worn down at that point
