Does the Disney Store in Downtown Disney stock all of the merchandise found in the all the parks - or do you still have to buy ride specific & park specific merchandise at their respective parks?

World of Disney does not stock ALL of the merchandise found in the parks, but the place is HUGE and holds a lot! We always try to hit DTD first and make all our basic purchases such as towels, tshirts, magnets, etc. as well as anything else that catches our eye so we can take advantage of our 10% AP discount. Then anything we don't find, we purchase in the parks. We were just there a couple weeks ago and my DS5 was able to find a lot of pirate things that he would normally purchase at PotC. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. Anything in particular? Maybe I can remember seeing it?!?!

There are things that you may only see at one place in one of the parks. If you find something you really like & know you want, my advise is to buy it when you see it If you're staying at a Disney resort they will send it back to your room for you so you don't need to worry about carrying it around with you all day.

Typically ride or park specific merchandise is only available in that park. The general WDW merchandise is available all over and mostly at DTD World of Disney. Occasionally you can find some things at WofD, but we have found that we get general WDW stuff at WofD and the rest when we see it at the parks.

Last year my DD4(at the time) found a light up spinner at MGM that she wanted toward the beginning of our trip and my DH didn't get it for her. We looked at every other park after that and couldn't find the same thing anywhere! So towards the end of our trip my DH had to make a special trip back to MGM and get it. It was all she was talking about!! So if it is something that you really want, get it when you see it!

If you have an AP and are looking for generic souvenirs, you might want to wait to get them at World Of Disney. You get a 10 percent discount on purchases at World Of Disney with an AP. There are no discounts on merchandise in the parks.
