Souvenir purchases

We are staying on-site and I had a few questions about purchasing things. If you purchase something in one of the parks you have the option to have it sent back to your resort correct? Do they put it in your room or do you have to get it at the front desk? Does this only work at the parks? What about if you buy something at another resort? Thanks!

They actually send the package to your resort's gift shop. I'm not aware that they can do it from one resort to another.

Generally you'll retrieve your park purchases at the resort gift shop. There's a minimum amount of time required before check out that you can have purchases delivered--i.e. they won't do it if you're checking out the following day. I haven't ever tried resort-to-resort delivery, but this topic has come up before and I think one of our experts said it could be done. Welcome to the Dis, BTW.

If you are staying club level, they do deliver it to your room. Otherwise- you have to pick up at the gift shop during their regular hours (which can be an issue if you leave the room early and don't come back until late at night). I have done it from a resort store before when we were going back to the park- so unless something has changed it can be done.

Did last week. They said next day after 3 pm. Would not ship if I were checking out next day.

When I bought something at the Contemporary a couple of years ago they said that they would deliver to the other resorts on the monorail line, but not the others. I don't know if that's still true.

I purchased at the grand Floridian December 2015 and they shipped to POFQ.

Good to know. I can't remember which resort I was in when I was told they couldn't do it.

BFF just used the shopping app for what she wanted and had it sent to our resort.
She found it at the Poly. Sent to OKW
