Souvenir ideas for early teen boys?

There are good Aerosmith t-shirts and other Aerosmith stuff in the shop after riding Rock n Roller Coaster at DHS.

Also, the Winter Summerland mini-golf course gave each kid a golf ball with a Disney character on it when they finished playing. Maybe golf balls are sold in the Disney stores?

One word -- Legos.

I have a 13, 11 and 8 year old DS and they all still love legos. Some new Star Wars legos come out in August and they want to buy them at WDW.

My 13 and 11 year old also like to shop the specialty stores such as Tattoine Traders at DHS, the Indiana Jones store at DHS, the Japaneses Pavilion at World Showcase, etc.

One other item my kids enjoy are books. They like the Disney after Dark series, some of the Disney trivia or hidden mickey books, etc.

Do they collect anything at all? If not, then just save your money and enjoy!!

He also likes T-shirts at Tattoine Traders.

My 13 year-old DS purchased a "Get a Taste of the Dark Side" t-shirt last year. It has a Storm Trooper eating a Mickey head ice cream bar and getting chocolate on himself. It's the only Disney t-shirt that he'll wear to school.

Do they sell this all the time or for Star Wars weekends? I know DS would love it ... can't believe we didn't see it!

Thanks for all the great tips. My two DS are almost 15 and 12 and I was wondering the same thing.

I like the DQ idea and that might work...we could text DS1 and make the rule that he is responsible for DS2. Also, our plan is to give them each an envelope of Disney dollars when we get to our resort. Then they have to pay us each day for things they asked us to buy that we charge on our KTTW card. They are also getting Disney dollars from their grandparents so we are trying to make them a bit responsible for their spending $$.

Our trip is a surprise and since I didn't think they would wear any Disney shirts, I didn't buy any in advance but maybe they will buy some there and wear them. The Chinese year shirt sounds cool to me! I know DH will do the same...see some things there to buy and wear...same with hats. We plan to let everyone pick out a hat when we get down there....

A month from today...cannot wait

I agree with other pps about the gift shop at Rock n' Rollercoaster...the drumsticks are a huge hit with my DS14...

I also agree with the stores in Japan...if you walk through there long enough, there is a lot of cool stuff. My DS loves Asian inspired cuisine and all my kids have chopsticks from there.

DS will be wearing ties for high school, we found some cool ties in the World Showcase in China.

The store in England has some cool "football" (soccer) tshirts and DS wears his all the time.

I think one of the BEST things my DS14 loved was his day at DisneyQuest...a perfect fit for the teenage boy!

My teen spent hours in Japan. In that store. He focused on the video game figures and eventually bought one. - He also liked the robots there. The little wind ups as well as the funny tiny magnets.

He could have easliy spent a day there. :rotfl2:

We actually purchased it at Disneyland and saw it several places including DTD at DLR. It was not SWW specific so I assume it could be purchased anywhere as long as it hasn't been discontinued.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their help & excellent ideas!! Some of this stuff I knew & had forgotten...like Nightmare items which they loved & Aerosmith stuff. I think the drumsticks might be really cool for them too.

One of the things my older son bought last year that I had forgotten about was the "sticks" from Japan or China...not sure what they are called but literally, they are two identical sticks that you hold & toss a third colorful stick in the air, twirl, etc. He's actually become pretty good at them!! Anyway, just an additional idea for boys in their teens!
