I was just looking at menu at Rose and Crown and their pub blends of beer are served in a souvenir cup...just wondering if this is a glass pub style cup with "rose and crown" printed on it, or something else?

Ohhhhhh I am interested to know as well. It was one of our favorite TS on the last trip, so we are looking forward to going there again! A souvineer glass will top the cake!

They used to serve them in a yard, long thin and wide at the top and bottom.
Don't remmeber if it had a logo. Hope this helps.

I ordered the Welsh Dragon back in Oct 09 and got a plastic souvenir cup. It's shaped like a "pub style cup" with the Rose & Crown logo on it. If that has changed since then/they serve the beer in something else, I could not tell you.

I typed "rose and crown welsh dragon" into Google image search and got this:

That's what mine looks like. The bartender asked if I just wanted the drink without the souvenir glass for a cheaper price. I said nah, give me the glass! I said this thinking it was *glass*, naive of me I guess. The plastic is okay but I don't use it to drink out of. Instead it sits on a shelf with some other knick knacks. Hope this helped!

I bought one of the souvenir ones this fall...I recommend going and buying the glass one at the Crown and Crest gift shop and carrying it back or shipping back home. It has the same logo, but is not made from cheap crystal styrene-The plastic one from the restaurant just hazes over and looks cloudy.

I believe all the souvenir cups sold in the restaurant are plastic, as glass containers can't be carried around the park. For a glass one, you might have to look in the shop, and you would not be able to drink out of it while still in the park.

That's true, guess I didn't consider that. I know they sold the glass version in the UK gift shop (the one with the tea and candy) across from R&C. I bought 2 for my dad on that Oct 09 trip, they were $10 a pop I think. Unfortunately, I think both have been broken since :(

thank you all :) I'm glad there is a glass option in the gift shop if you wanted a "real" glass! :thumbsup2

It's a shame you can't get a glass cup anymore. I tried at Germany in '08 and it only came in plastic. Probably a few idiots ruined it.

We have them, they are plastic pint glasses. We still have the old half-yards they used to sell that could be re-filled too. My husband dearly misses them. They sit on our beer kegerator like some kind of shrine. :goodvibes

Yes they are plastic cups that are sold from the beer stand. I found the glass one in the shop across the street after I had already purchased the plastic one.
They also sell a glass tumbler with the logo on it as well.
