Came out with their fares for Providence to Orlando today, but they were much higher than I expected for the last 2 weeks of January. $240 round trip!

Does anybody think they'll come down? Are there still good deals on airlines out there if you play the waiting game?

I priced Jan 22-Jan 27 for $269 for two r/t out of Hartford. Dod you try changing days, I tried Sunday and the rate JUMPED!
Good luck!

If you have AAA you may want to try pricing on line through them -- we got a great rate on Delta for Jan 6-9, $150 per person round trip (this includes all taxes and fees! We did sacrifice the non-stop flight to do this, but the stop in Atlanta is less than an hour and puts us in Orlando shortly after the flight we were originally going to book on ATA which was ~$225 per person!

thanks Pumbaa and marn913-

I did trying changing the dates a little, but the rates were the same and some were already "unavailabe" but those were the lowest fares so that made me suspicious, since they couldn't have been up there that long because I had checked in the afternoon and they hadn't even posted the rates yet!

I do have Triple A so I may try them too. If push comes to shove, I could always see if there are any good fares out of Logan too. I haven't flown out of Boston for years cuz it's such a pain, but if I could get a great rate I'd do it.

Thanks again!

I just joinged AAA. What do you mean about booking flights through them?? Do you go to their web site?? thanks...corvairamy

I booked Hartford to Orlando 1/26 to 1/31 (Sun-Fri) yesterday for $158 RT. Today those are now $246!! I expect they will come down, but who knows.

My DD and her friends did not book their flight yesterday for 1/12 to 1/17 (Sun-Fri) and now their fares are also up to $246. Thanks to Pumba's message, I checked 1/13 to 1/18 and those fares are $134 RT. I'll see on Monday if I can change their BWV ressies to match the better airline fares.

If you see decent, not good, rates, grab them. I've been checking prices for PVD to MCO for months. Our trip is in November & we still don't have tickets. I can forsee spending about $250 each at this point.

I'm going to start checking airfare before I go to work [that will be about 6:00am]. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE WERE ABLE TO GET A ROUNDTRIP TICKET FROM NYC TO MCO FOR 135 INCLUDING TAXES FOR NOVEMBER. ALL WE KEPT DOING WAS CHECKING THE WEBSITE EVERYDAY , AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND WHEN THE RIGHT PRICE SHOWED UP WE PURCHASED. ITS A WAITING GAME, JUST KEEP TRYING. BEST OF LUCK

I'm doing the same as you are...looking for airfare from Jan 22-28. When SW announced their schedule for the end of Jan., the flights I wanted was $173RT, this am the same flights are $215RT. I'm holding out for something a little lower. Last Aug. I got $53.50 one way from MCO to PVD for my trip in Dec. I'm hoping they'll do the same again and checking daily!!!

PS - right now Logan hasn't been any cheaper...Delta is about $195-199RT :smooth:
