When a lower fare is posted for my flights- but when I try to 'change' flights to get lower fare it says unavailable at that price? why would it show me the fare then I can't change?

How many people are on your booking? It is possible that there are fewer seats at the cheaper price than there are people in your booking.

oh...ok! we have 4, I just figured it would show as sold out b/c I already input the number.....

Yea, the cheaper flight has to have enough seats for all in your traveling party in order to get a lower fare. When we are traveling with family and are a party of 6, we buy our tickets in 2 groups of 3 just to make it possible for a reduced fare later -- we fly Jetblue as SW no longer flys non-stop out of our airport.
