We're flying from Buffalo to Orlando on Jetblue this November. We've always flown Southwest before. Is there a difference? Not sure what to expect.

DS is asking if there are TVs. DD is asking about snacks. DH is asking about leg room.

Help!

Jet Blue has assigned seats, free snacks, tv's in the back of each seat, wifi, and have some rows of extra lefroom seats (for an upcharge).

Assigned seats, unlimited snacks and soda, most leg room in coach, free wifi, tvs at all seats, and in about 50% of planes power outlets at the seats.

You do have to pay for checked baggage but thats the only upcharge. They also offer upcharged snack boxes and drinks but you don't need those as the regular snacks and drinks are good.

The order for boarding the plane is different. If I have this right in my head: People in wheelchairs. Mosaic members (frequent flyers who make lots of trips). People who paid extra for Even More Space. Possibly families with small children next. Then they call the rows in the back of the plane (maybe rows 18-25). Then a few rows before that. People with seats in the front of the plane will board last.

Jet Blue is a bit of an upgrade from SWA. You'll have your own TV screen, an assigned seat, & they have an upcharge section of "Even More Space" seats that have extra legroom.

On the downside, you'll have to pay for check-in bags, and they charge for itinerary changes (though not as much as what the legacy carriers charge).

Jet Blue's customer service is as good as Southwest's.

Jet Blue does have free baggage for active duty military and their families (when traveling with active duty family member). Two free bags per person.
