I currently have ressies through WDW at Pop, August 16-23. Haven't gotten air yet, will do this week.(waited for SW to release dates and they were higher than USAir, to top it off USA went up almost $50 that day :guilty: ) Our package totals $1622.32. 2 adults and dds 10 and 15. I can get air with good flights on US Air for $1058.80. I just checked SW and their air is more, but when I looked up SW Vacations for the same dates and package (it looks the same to me, 7nts, 7day hoppers &dining) with air, the total is $2374.94.
Is this a no-brainer? Should we cancel with WDW, get our deposit back, and re-book with SW? We'd save $300. On the downside, DH is very reluctant to fly SW-he just does not like non-assigned seats, and the flight home is 4 hours earlier than USAir. I'm not crazy about possibly being seperated on the planes. My youngest has only flown once and she was 3 then. I'm sure the flight home will be packed with preboards.
I have all our ADR's made-would we lose them if we re-book? I got all the restaurants/times I wanted. Can we make our own ADR's with a package? My sister used SW vacations for a trip to Las Vegas a few years ago and it went great, but I'm a worrier by nature-I know it seems a great deal, but knowing my luck there is something I've overlooked that will come back to haunt me.
$300 is a good chunk of cash to us, but is it the best thing to do??
I'm so confused. :confused3 Please help!!

we are booked with SWV (and also saved about $300) I wouldn't worry--we've never had a problem with them before. Make sure to check in on-line 24 hrs before your flight so that you can get in "boarding group A" and then you will be assurred that you can all sit together. I don't think you will need to change your ADR's--are they under your phone #? Even if they are under your reservation # I'm sure you can call and change them all to be under your phone # instead. Hope this helps.

Thank you!! We decided that saving $300 is more important than having assigned seats. Having nonstop flights is a big factor also.
Now I can breathe again,lol! :)

I used to sell SWV's....about 350 a year as a travel agent!! I worked directly for them as well!! I think you will be very happy with them!!!

Have a great time while you are here!!!

:)

As long as you are going the same dates you will not have to make new adr's

Used SWV for our Vegas trip everything worked out well.I also fly a lot on SWA and have never had a problem getting an A boarding pass.

SWA Vacations told me on the phone today that I cannot check in online-it is NOT a ticketless transaction!! He said if I get to MCO 4 HOURS early I may get an A pass as they set aside a few of each group for the ticketed passengers. First come first serve.I was going to leave for MCO early, but 4 hours?? I was counting on checking in 24 hours ahead online to get A passes.
Has anyone used them recently and had tickets, not ticketless??
When I used them for Vegas a few years ago, SW had not started online check in-we just got to the airport 2 hours early and got to weait in the A line.
Glad I asked before booking-but now I'm back to square one. What to do?
