I have 75.00 in travel funds that expire in Sept. If I purchase a ticket using those funds and extra money for a trip in July, but for some reason can't go on the trip in July - do I lose all the funds that were purchased for the July trip in September or just the part of the travel funds that normally would have expired in September?

I mean - do all the funds on that one ticket that I bought for the July trip revert to the date of the travel funds? Or will there be 2 expiration dates of travel funds. One with the September expiration and one with a May expiration (the date that I bought ticket)

Yes you will loose the added money. Any money you add to a ticket and you use travel funds to purchase, take on the same expiration date as the travel funds in your case Sept. 2013.

What I would do is buy two one way ticket. Use the travel funds on the out bound ticket and if you have to add money to pay for out bound flight then you are not able to take the trip you have only lost the money you put toward that ticket plus the travel fund since it will have the Sept expiration dates. Then the returned flight will have a whole new expiration date based on the date you purchased that ticket
