Anybody else up early this morning waiting for Southwest to open up new dates? They've updated the info on their Travel Tools page to say, "We are currently accepting air reservations through April 9, 2012. On October 3, we will open our schedule for sale through June 1, 2012. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently." However, the dates aren't actually loaded yet.

Good luck to anyone trying to get good fares today! I'll actually be buying tickets for the end of April on October 3rd. This morning is just research. ;)

I'll be looking for some Rapid Rewards seats on 10/3, for mid-April 2012. Hopefully I can find what I am looking for.

The flight schedules through April 9th are open. I think it must have opened sometime shortly before 7 a.m. Got my spring break airfare. :cool1:

Hi we are departing chicago on 3/31 rates are high and not nonstop but look great coming home tempted to just buy them coming home!

I need airfare for Easter Week. I was able to book leaving April 7 (day before Easter) but now have to wait until October 3 for the returning leg. I wonder why they split up Easter week like this? I did get a good deal on the arrival part ($89).

First I went on at 6 and they weren't out...I fell back alseep and went on again about 10 and it said some of the flights are already unavailable! :confused3 The ones that are still available are around $263! Way to high for us! Did anyone get any good deals? Anyone flying out of buffalo?

I had trouble getting flights for my mid march dates. :sad1: I have credits from getting the SW credit card, and they are expiring in late March. Need to use them or lose them. Looking for PHL to MCO. It looks like less flights from Philadelphia? Maybe just less flights available using the credits.

I ended up shifting my dates by a day and will call DVC tomorrow to see if that will work on their end, it is just one day so it should be ok. I also had to take flight down that involves changing planes, which will be a pain, but what can you do?

I was up at 6:30 am. There wasn't anything great from BUF to MCO. Airtran has also jacked up the rates since Saturday (was $299 RT and now is $530 for the same flights, cheapest is now $350) for our trip dates.

I think the non-stop Saturday flights from BUF-MCO were all unavailable.

So can we assume that the new schedule came out some time between 6:00 and 6:30 EST. ? Just trying to plan for the Oct. 3rd extension.
TIA

I read that SW is cutting back in Philadelphia. I know they cancelled all their PIT-PHL flights plus I just read that they are cancelling all PHL-BOS in February. PHL is a USAirways hub and the competition is keeping fares too low. They are shifting more to Baltimore as a hub.

Sounds like I didn't miss much then. I guess there were no $89 flights ... LOL!

By combining travel vouchers and my rewards for opening up a Southwest Visa, I was able to get four tickets from Cleveland to Orlando for $340 (which inlcudes the $99 annual fee and EBCI for 4, roundtrip).

I am so excited I can hardly stand it. We were able to get non-stop flights down and back.

I cannot believe how fast the airfare was gone this morning. I went on at 7am and Philly to Orlando was already "unavailable" for the times and dates we wanted. We are going to have to shift our days to find something reasonable in price and reasonable in flight times. Can't do a 6 hour with a stop flight! UGH! This is the first time we are going during spring break and didn't realize how hard it would be! :headache:

I went on about 10 this morning and got leaving Good Friday 4/6 PHL to MCO for $89 one way. This is about what I expected to pay so I was happy. There were several nonstop flights at this price. Of course we have to wait until next month to book our flight home, but that's ok- we plan to return on a Thursday so it shouldn't be that bad hopefully.

I can't believe all these flights are really "unavailable". I have the same problem. I'm going to keep watching and hoping these flights find their way back to an available status! And like you I haven't been during spring break in years - what a hassle!

I am also looking to leave from Philadelphia on Mar 31-Apr 6 but no mid morning flights are open. Are they going to open them later or not at all?
