Southwest schedule?

SW usually books 6 months in advance. On their website you can still only book until Jan 11. Does anyone know when they will start booking further, or if I call them directly can I check prices for April? Thanks

I called the other day to ask what their cancellation policy is (excellent)! I then asked if and when the schedule past Jan11 would be posted. She said they were just finishing up a sale and would probably extend the schedule this week. Not sure how accurate this it but I am hoping for the best. We too are looking for April fares.

I just got off the phone with Southwest,(it's Monday a.m. 11:58 east coast time), and the agent didn't have a clue. His best guess was any day now, and he suggested checking back to the SW web-page every day. Hope this helps!!

Thanks for your help. The other airlines are raising their prices now for April. I guess they are going to try to make up their losses on Spring travel. Oh well, hopefully I can get a good deal thru SW. Thanks again and good luck to you in your fare search.

it's really a matter of hurry up and wait. Most of us thought that they would have been out already. Personally I'm waitiing to book a cruise to see what the rates will be for the end of January.

SWA just added ski vacation packages thru 2/28. Got the email. Maybe sooner than we think...

I'd expect it within the next week. The cycle pretty much repeats itself. Right now we are in the part of the cycle where all the other airlines have high fares to try and make some money before they have to match Southwests fares for dates after Jan 11 and the sales that Southwest usually has when they release the new schedule.

Pluto, we already booked WDW and the cruise, we're just waiting to book the air. We purchased tickets SWA for last April in (I think) January of last year, during one of the $99, coast to coast sales.

Nope, not today. The schedule is still only to 1/11/02. Drats. Maybe next Tuesday.

Historically, they have released new schedules on Thursdays, so I'm thinking it might be Thursday, 10/18.
