TSA will accept an e-mail on a cell phone as a legit Boarding Pass?????

Yes but check with your airline to see if they have a TSA approved one. You do sometimes need to hand your phone to the TSA agent to scan or somethings they have you place the phone on the scanner.

Once we get the email we take a screenshot with our phone in case we loose internet access we will still have access to the email.

Yes, in fact the last time I flew, I was given the option of having my boarding pass sent to my phone or printing it. I suppose that may vary depending on airline. I printed mine, but the person in line at TSA ahead of me was using an electronic boarding pass and just showed his phone. They may have scanned it or something. It's NOT the email receipt or confirmation of a booking, it's an actual boarding pass to use on phones.

To add - yep flying home from London this past summer the same with Iceland Air. I checked us in on my iPhone and boarding passes were on my phone and as previous poster suggested, I took a screen shot in case I didn't have connection later.

Even better! They accept the bar code on my Apple Watch. I love it! No more fumbling for my boarding pass. Just flip my wrist and beep! I'm through.
