Southwest Refunds?

Has anyone ever successfully received a refund from SW on a non-refundable fare? If so, how did you go about getting it and how long did it take?

I would love to know this too. My airfare went down twice since we booked. I am not so happy. I would much rather have 240 dollars in my pocket instead of with southwest.

According to a Southwest CSR supervisor I spoke with a few months ago, non-refundable tickets are non-refundable. It even says so in the Contract of Carriage (p. 30, article 90 B.):

I don't know of a way to actually get the cash back(i.e. credit on CC). I'm just thankful I can cancel and rebook to gain a future credit with no penalty. No other airlines in my area allow that...

I have successfully received refunds back onto my CC many, many times. And they were all non-refundable flights. I didn't change anything about the flight - the date or time. I only re-booked at the lower fare. After re-booking, I called the customer service number (not the 1-800 #) and the refund was back on my CC within 10 days. Not a problem at all.
