Southwest Rapid rewards / one way flight

I have a quick question I hope someone can help me with. If I book a one way flight with rapid rewards credits, how many will it take? I know a roundtrip flight is 16 credits, is a one way 8?

It takes 16 Rapid Rewards credits in order to get a free round trip flight. You have the option of booking the free trip as two one-ways or one round trip ticket.

I will use "half" of my free trip according to how it is priced or in some cases the free trip for one way may not be available to book, but it might be available on the return trip for example.

You should receive two "codes" for each free RR round-trip award.

You have to earn 16 credits for SWA to issue a Rapid Rewards ticket. The ticket consists of two one way tickets. You may use that anyway you like. Two different people one way. One person roundtrip, etc. They do not issue a oneway ticket when you earn 8 credits. It just sits in your account until it expires in 2 years after earning or once you hit 16 credits they issue a Rapid Rewards ticket. Any credits less than 16 are lost if you do not earn a ticket. thank you for the information. I have 16 credits in my account but I wanted to book a one way ticket for me and my daughter (same flight). I was hoping I would be able to do this.
