I have been watching a one-way flight on Southwest leaving from Providence to Orlando. I just looked today and the flight I wanted says unavailable. The flight is leaving Oct. 28. What are the odds of this flight opening again. The 2 that are unavailable are the only flights that work for us. I could kick myself for not taking the $79 fare. :confused3
Thanks

It might open up, but.... probably late.

I have sometimes gotten lucky and changed business flights that were sold out, but usually it's a last minute change at full fare. Chances of a good discount are probably very slim.

I just checked, NONE of the flights that day are sold out. Every flight at least has the fun fare of $129 available and three of the N/S flights even have the $79 promotional rate available.

The most desirable flight, the first N/S of the day, is going to sell out of the best fares first. 3 of the 5 N/S flights still have $79 fares available. The fares look reasonable to me. You might get lucky with a $49 DING sale or people may jump at the current fares and you'll wind up paying more.

I did check for one passenger. It's possible, for at least some of flights, there may not be enough discounted seats for your entire family. Book them one at a time.
