Hello everyone, this is a question for all the Southwest experts. I know in the past the procedure for booking a round trip ticket was to book one way for each. This would allow changes to be made separately.
Recently I saw somewhere, you can now make changes, i.e. change for a lower fare, change date or time of flight, for one end of a round trip reservation without canceling the entire reservation. Could someone confirm this new policy and possibly expound on it. Thanks, Ricky P

Open your reservation, select "change," and then you can pick either or both directions to change.

There is a check box for you to select which flight you want to change.

Pretty sure it's not new. We've been doing the processes listed above for several years.
It's super easy. I check daily for flight changes and have made many changes.
