Will Southwest let you preboard if you have children? I have heard two different opinions on this, looking for an answer from someone who has actually done this. Our youngest is four years old. Also, how many carryons can you have? Thanks!

Preboarding with children depends on the departure site. Usually it is under 4. They allow the parents and other sibs on the preboard only.
The rest of your questions can be answered by going to the SWA site. Here is the link for baggage and other general questions.
