Southwest Package

Southwest now has a package deal for WDW. Has anyone ever booked one of these? I would like to have some input on whether you think this is a good way to book your vacation or is is better to make your air, car & resort reservations yourself separately.

I looked into an American Airlines package at one point. While there was a slight discount on the WDW package part (resort rooms and tickets), it was more than offset by the cost of the flights bundled with it. Not sure how SWA would do.

I think, in general, packages are meant for convenience, not savings. I would guess that you will save more money by booking your rooms and/or ticketse thru AAA, or finding another discount, and booking your own flights. More work for you, but probably saved money in the end.

But I guess we need to hear from someone who has actually booked - or looked closely into - a SWA package (your original question..)
