just checked in for our flight tomorrow morning ...

Very surprised to see the big B on the boarding passes.

I stopped to use the bathroom and grab a cup of coffee before sitting down. I was exactly 9 minutes past the 24 hr time mark. YIKES!

Anyone ever use those automated check in services?

What airport are you flying out of? Passengers on connecting flights and passengers continuing on your flight can get their BP for both legs 24 hours before their first flight. It's possible all, or almost all, of the A's went to those passengers.

It's a 7:40 a.m. flight out of albany.

We'll just have to get there a bit earlier than I had planned. I've never seen the A's go so fast.

Wouldn't that be 24 hours and 9 minutes then? Do they allow you to check in earlier than the 24hr mark?

Leaving tomorrow also, but at 12:55 out of PVD. I just did it right at 12:55 and got A. I have young children but I hear that they are now pre-boarding all the time now...

I've got my online check-in all set up on my Cell phone. We fly out of Philly at 7:05pm on Saturday, and I'll be away from my home/computer on Friday night.

So by 7:04 pm I'll have my conf # and name in and ready to go at 7:05pm...I'll hit that select button and hopefully get "A" boarding passes. The flight orignates in Manchester, so I'm not sure how full the plane will be when we get on.

My niece (14) has never flown before, and she's a little nervous...We'd love to get the 4 seats together (sis, me, daugher-12, niece-14)/across the aisle, but if we can atleast get 2 and 2 or 3 and 1, she won't have to sit by herself. Not real keen on having my 12 year old sit by herself either...she's flown many times, so the flight doesn't make her nervous....but I'm not comfortable with her sitting with strangers....

Hopefully we'll be successful!

I got an "A" too. We're on the same flight!

I'm on the 7:40 flight out of Albany next week. That is really stunning.

Maybe you checked in after a large group (cheerleaders, whatever) traveling together, can groups do online checkin?

I will be on the 7:40 am flight out of Albany in 2 more weeks (9/7)!! Hoping I have no trouble getting our A passes. We have always gotten A passes in the past but I will also be running around getting my 3rd Grader and 14 month old ready to walk down to school. LOL :wizard:

I had that happen to me in July. I got a A for the flight up and B for the flight back. I think there are just that many people doing the same thing, keying in right at the 24 hour mark.

If you get there with a B and you are early you can just stand in line. My aunt was the first B and got an exit door seat. If you are near the front of the B line you will get seats together if you are traveling in a group.

I heard SW was going to do away with this seating plan. I personally like it and wish they would not. Most other airlines all I get are crappy seats because their FF get the good seats.
