I am off to see about a flight in December.

Wow $59 each way you are sooo lucky we got $129 each way
at our airport in Islip, NY. There is no competition for SW so this is probably why their flights are more expensive.

SW isn't a major presence in Detroit or Flint. But I can't see Northworst or whoever Flint's major carrier, beating $59 & two free bags.

The baggage fees alone cost me $130 for the podcast cruise...nearly doubling my airfare. If I can help it, never again...pack lighter and fly airlines with less/no fees.

Originally I was excited when I was thinking they were going to open up until late in January. With my next trip from Jan 5-14, I can only book half of it right now... of course I will do so fairly soon (once I have the cash), but I'd have been so much happier to just do it all at once!
