Hi,I posted this on the hotel forum by accident but I wanted to ask if anyone thinks my airfare from Albany,NY to Orlando from August 30th to September 3rd might go down?? The fare going is $49.00 but my return fare is still high....
Continental is offering a one-way fare from Orlando to Albany (with a connection) for $63.20.Should I jump on this?? Or wait and hope that Southwest brings down their prices for my return flight??
Any comments?? Help?? Please help me decide!!
Thanks,Debbie

If I am not misstaken, isn't that Labor Day weekend. If so, the return flight is probably full with people getting back to work. The hardest days to get cheap seats are on in my experience are the ending days on long weekend.

SW has pretty much released fare sales thur Sept, it is probable that your flight has sold out of the "cheap seats".

If it were me, I would book the other ticket, but none of us has a crystal ball.

They may be out of the cheaper seats. Keep in mind if you buy one way tickets on different airlines you will probably trigger an extra security search. Just plan extra time to get through security.

Your return fare is sold out for that date. I doubt they will release any seats for that low fare.
If you have not booked, book the 49.00 fare going down and the 136.00 coming back. Or, book the 49.00 going down and take Continental coming back, and be prepared to trigger a search, both ways.

Carol,Safetymom, and Gail, Thank You. I read thru your replies and like Carol said 'nobody has a crystal ball' and I don't want to take any chances so I booked the way going with Southwest and the way back with Continental.
I also had a feeling being a holiday weekend I might not see the airfare on Southwest go down coming back and I did not want to wait and find out that I'd have to pay $176 one-way to get back home!!
Thank you all for helping me make that decision.I am very happy with my travel plans and now I can sit back and wait for what should be a great vacation!
