Can little ones eat/drink on a SW flight right now? Anyone have any recent experience? I have been preparing DS to keep his mask on but just thought about this & we fly out Saturday!

Flew them recently. Could have stayed maskless the entire flight with a bag of Cheerios sitting on the tray table.

I had 4 flights on SW in the past week. They want you to keep your mouth diaper on unless you are actively eating or drinking. They even said to put the mask on in between bites and sips.

I read that on their website. Were you traveling with little kids? It’s kinda a short flight for us so I don’t have to eat or drink (and usually don’t), but part of the strategy to keep DS occupied is snacks & movies.

We travelled on SW recently with our two and five year olds and they snacked through the entire trip just like at home lol. There was no problem with masks off for them whatsoever. For me either as I brought my lunch along!

I love how people react to my comment with emotion. My comment was totally not in favor nor against mask wearing. For all you know, I made my statement frustrated that the staff didn’t do their due diligence. Part of keeping this forum polite and civil is your emojis. My statement is undeserving of any emotional reaction.

I have made 4 rt flights with SWA since last October. You can eat or drink whenever your want. Depending on the flight attendants, some might say to pull your mask up between bites, but most just ignore you unless you make it obvious that you are just holding snacks to keep your mask down.
