Southwest Flight Changes

Anyone with a Southwest flight booked in the spring, keep an eye on your email. Southwest is having to rearrange thousands of flights due to the Boeing MAX still being grounded. I got an email that my flight had "changed" and offering the opportunity to switch to a different flight if the new one didn't work for me. Interestingly, the only thing that had actually changed was my aircraft; times and airports were the same. Nonetheless, I was able to switch our coming-home flight from a 6:30 am departure (ouch!) to a 10:30 am departure (yay!).

Will keep an eye out, thanks! Earlier this year the flight issues worked out well as we were able to get on flight with a better schedule, but was a higher cost at initial booking.

Same! Plus I learned that you can change airports, too! We had been scheduled to fly back out of Long Beach because it was cheaper when I booked, but there was a better time to go home from SNA.

You can change dates up to 14 +/- days from your flight, departure airports (to co-terminals; so LGB, LAX and SNA are all interchangeable) and times. This is a great deal if you want to extend your trip or fly at the "premium" times
