if we have purchased tickets for 4 on southwest.com and we do the 24 hour check-in and print our boading passes but only 3 people are going will we have a problem?

We have a group of 14 going to WDW next week. My Bil has decided not to go. His confirmation number also included DSIL and 2 of their children. DSIL and DNs are still going. We can't remove him and rebook the other 3 without a large increase in price. Will Southwest give us credit for his flight even if we print out the boarding passes online?

you should be able to call SW and have them drop him from the reservation without it affecting the price. I believe I have done this before. If you haven't called yet do so. While you can't do it yourself they should be able too.

I also think you can just check-in certian people even on a linked ressie.

But I would call just to make sure

DB and his family (group of 7) were scheduled to fly home when DSIL became ill. They checked in and printed all of the boarding passes (they were all on one res) and after the group who was flying got thru security, DB called SW and cancelled just him and his wife. They were afraid if they called SW and there was a screwup, the rest of the party wouldn't be able to fly. This was Easter week and all the flights were booked.

Just call SW and have him split from the record, they will give him his own confirmation number. Then you can cancel his ressie and get the credit to use later on.

I called SW and they were able to remove him with no problem. They have already emailed me the updated itinerary with the other 3 people. Super Easy. We now have the ticketless travel funds to use by next February.

I'm really impressed with SWA at how quickly and easily they handled our situation.
