Southwest end of August???

I was able to book even though I got that error message. Choose dates before august 9 on the main page. Then use the fare finder calendar to select the dates you really want. They came up and let me book even though the main page is still giving me the same error.

MSP to MCO was $219 each way :-(

I put in the August 9 date that they say is the last one and then was able to get to the "try our low fare calendar":rolleyes1 Then I was able to get all the dates for August and September (til the 27th):yay:

Hmmm... not liking the fares so far. Flying into Tampa might become a viable option. We are staying offsite and were already renting a car

I Love you!
It worked! I used the points I've been saving forever and got 3 round trip tickets from Alb to MCO for a total of $15!!!!!

Whew! Bought my airfare. Rates were decent enough ($124---I miss the $59 days!!) and I got direct flights. The number of direct flights has decreased, making our park time on arrival day shorter than usual but that's OK. Just glad to have the airfare bought and will think of park touring later.

Lots of pixie dust to those booking! :tinker:

Phew. Booked it!! Well, I only booked my return flight. That's the one I was worried about because there is only one non-stop and it's on Labor Day weekend. I booked for 155 per person and that includes Early Bird Check In. That fare is only going to go up from this point being the only non-stop for the day.

Now to decide if I should just go ahead and book our flight down. I probably should.
I was trying to book it all while getting the kids ready for the school bus, so it was a little hairy.

I got the same error message about 7:45 from Columbus, OH to MCO and had an aneurism but they fixed it thank goodness. I do miss the $59 flight days but we still got a decent enough deal considering we wanted non-stop and we don't have any baggage fees this way. Just so relieved the route still exists. :)

I also had a minor heart attack when I got the error message this morning. After a few min, I found the work around, thank goodness! I was only able to book our flight down. We're using points from the SW credit card promo to pay for flights. For some reason I had $1000 in my mind to get the 50,000 points, so I have some more spending to do to get our return flight. My husband's 50,000 covered all 5 of us going down. :thumbsup2

I bit the bullet and bought our flight down on Airtran. The time was perfect for us and it was 100pp. Add in seat assignments and bag fees for another 145 and it worked out to 134 per person. So all in we are flying for 1155 return with all fees on non-stops. I've done much better, but I've also done worse and if this saves me the worry of watching flights for the next 6 months I am a-ok with all of it.
Trip in 18 days and no Disney blues when we leave because there's another one in 6 months:cool1:

My air is a bit high so I'm going to hold off a bit. I would love to get my fare down to around 1100.00 for 4 of us. The way home is cheap enough at 137.00 but the flight down is :scared1:.

$110 down $140 back for us fingers crossed they come down at least a little. Booked with only a little aggravation lol.

$143 both ways per person for us in September (Saturdays, Direct, flying from Columbus). Not too bad, went ahead and booked.

I'm not thrilled with the schedule. We always take an evening flight home. The latest nonstop on the day we're coming home is 1pm and it's $191 one way to ISP.

My flight was $140 this morning when the site wasn't working. I had to leave for work and by the time I got home the flight went up to $191. SW is so frustrating!

Wow we are flying from/to ISP and we got a 6pm non stop coming home. Great flight out too 7:05 departure for a 9:45 arrival.

Now kicking myself flight went up 135.00 for the 4 of us within 10 minutes. Called dh so we could add a extra day and he was ok with that. got off the phone and poof. DH thinks I should book still.

It really stinks. There are only 2 nonstop flights the day we come home. One at 8am and one at 1pm. And the 1pm flight is now up to $215. There is a 650pm flight but it changes in BWI. I really don't want to change planes with 3 kids. Plus that flight is $150, which is more than I want to spend. I guess we may end up at JFK or LGA. Or driving if worse comes to worst.

I had a very similar experience. My flight was $128.00 in the morning when the site wasn't working. I had to leave for work and 3 hours later it was up to $173.:furious: Up by $45 in 3 hours! Really!?! :scratchin I ended up booking flights for $300.00/person roundtrip, non-stop. Still hoping that they go down a bit.

Instead of leaving Sunday to Sunday at 1450.00. We are leaving Monday to Monday for 1200.00. Glad I booked when I did because the keep going up and up. I could have booked for cheaper. If I would have done it when it first came out.
