Southwest "credit"

When I change Southwest flights due to finding a cheaper one, I know it goes by the original expiration date as far as using them, but I can't remember if they are transferable or not? Like, could my mom and dad use my and my husband's credit if they needed to?

Only the original person can use them. It is linked to the original ticket.

There's another recent thread on this you might want to read...apparently you can let the credit expire (and, yes it has to expire) and you can pay a fee (might be $100 now) to extend it another 6 months. That *may* be transferable, but I'm not sure...

Yes, the fee was $100, and yes, it is a LUV voucher anyone can use (good for 6 months from the original expiration date)

Well, LUV voucher is good for 6 months after you extend it, that is your new expiration date. I think you have a year to extend. So in the past, I had to hold myself back from calling to get the extension right after it expired, and wait for a time within 6 months of my next trip.

In my case, my adult DD could not to go on a planned trip, it was about $220 flight, so it was well worth paying $75 (it is now $100) to get the LUV voucher, and then i used the $120 credit.
