We have over $700 in south west credit voucher that will expire in December. I also have a $200 GC. I don't want to lose the credits but we will not be going to Disney until September 30th 2016. So I need help what is my best option to book it would be 5 adults from PIT TO MCO? I was thinking book what I think our flight will be approximately then pay the up charge. Then just change the dates when September dates drop. Also can I use all the vouchers in one transaction or do I need multiple transactions? Also if I over pay when I change will they give me a credit for the price difference?

I'm pretty sure you have to USE the flights by the expiration date on the vouchers. If they're expiring this December, and you can't book and fly by this December, you might be out of luck.

Yes, unfortunately that is correct. they will have to be used by December. A certain amount of the credit is available for each person. It has to be used by the person who held the original ticket.

Jedimom is correct. Travel must be completed by the time that the voucher expires or else you lose your money. It may be possible to extend the deadline for 6 months (for a fee) but you can't even try to do that until the credit has expired and even then, the extension is at the discretion of the customer service rep. that you're speaking to.

When you book with a credit, the new ticket retains the expiration date of the oldest credit. So if you book a new ticket with the credits, it will expire in December.

Is that just one single large credit voucher? I believe Southwest allows you to pay a fee to extend the expiration of certain credits.

For $100 dollar fee SWA will extend the voucher for 6 months. You will have to pay $100 for each person who has a voucher. But the voucher has to expire before they will allow you to extend the expiration date. Also if the price going down the credit you get retains the expiration of the voucher that was used to purchase the ticket. So the credit will expire in Dec 2015

Plus the Sept 2016 flights are not out yet. It won't happen till Feb.
