No, SouthWest is not a participant in the DCL Onboard Airline Checkin program. Can they do this onboard? I had planned for a family member back home to check us in online to get a better boarding group at the 24 hour mark. Would DCL affect this at all?
You can do early bird check in and then you will not need to worry about someone back home doing it for you. That is what we always do.
We just log in while on the ship and check in. It's a good use of the complimentary 50mb internet plan.
That you get. Not everyone gets that though

Every stateroom is able to get 50mb free.
i don't want to sound negative, but early bird doesn't always give you "great" boarding positions....last time we used it, we got B-15
It works from the ship, even if she is docked in CC. However, it doesn't work in CC or near the ship. You have to be on the ship. (I tried it from the dock just off the ship and couldn't get a signal). MAYBE you could work on the ramp? Didn't try it there. I was maybe 15 yards away from the bow?Oh ok, sorry, I wasn't aware of that. Wouldn't work from CC would it?
Happened to my wife and I once. I complained to them on the phone, but they were unsympathetic. I told them they should stop selling Early Bird after the A's are used up and the fact that they allowed people to pay them for a B number was a sham and misrepresentation.
