Southwest - changing flight help, please.

Hi. I am about to scream! I am trying to change a one way flight - different day and different city. I keep getting the following error message whether I try to use travel funds or just pay the $12 difference, any suggestions?

"There is a problem with your form of payment. Please verify your payment information and try again. If you continue to receive this message, you may wish to try an alternate form of payment or you may contact a Southwest Airlines Customer Representative for assistance at 1-800-I-FLY-SWA (1-800-435-9792). Depending on how many tickets are on your confirmation number, SW will accept only 4 credits, with a CC payment considered a credit. It took me a while to figure it out when trying to use two separate confirmation numbers, each with 2 tickets each and being told to remove one of the credits in order to use a credit card.

While I was on the phone with SWA a few weeks ago when they had a big DING! snafu, the rep told me never to cancel a reservation on the internet. They were in the process of booking my "DING!" flight, and when she looked into my credits associated with my confirmation numbers, she said the money was scattered all over the place but she was able to merge it all together and gave me what was left and the confirmation number associated with it. I book and rebook constantly so always have moneys that have been around for awhile. Good luck.
