When will the rest of June come out for Southwest? I check every day and they are only booking through June 6th. Anyone have any idea when we might see the rest of June?
Thanks!

A few months ago, I had the same question (for our April trip). I posted the question on radp, and someone who apparently worked for Southwest not only gave me the exact date they were to be released, but also the time! I booked within minutes of them being released (but still ended up paying over $300 round trip). Try there.

OUCH! Wow. Have you looked to see if you can get a lower fare?

Edited to add: Fares from BDL to MCO are still $79 each way with N/S available.

If there prices are that high, we will drive instead of fly. I am looking for under $600 for 4 people roundtrip. We did that twice last year (on ATA and on Northwest). We haven't tried Southwest yet, but I thought they were suppose to be the cheapest.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions about the r&n board, I posted a note there, but no response yet.

I have a feeling June will not have too many discounts and we will be driving there. BUT one can always hope!

RADP stands for rec.arts.disney.parks

It's a group on USENET (newsgroups).

You know, I am not sure :confused3 , I assumed it was the rumors and news board, but now I think I was probably wrong. So I am not sure (but I posted on the rumors and news board).

Westjones,

I can't tell you when Southwest will release their new schedule, but I can tell you that when we flew Southwest last June (6-11) BUF-MCO, it cost us $476 for 4 ppl (taxes in).
So don't count out cheap fares in June.

Thanks! Well, we are in a position that we can fly OR drive for this trip, so I am just waiting until I see a price I like, or we will just drive. I am hoping to see something good from Southwest. We have always liked ATA and they usually would have good prices, but they have been in trouble lately and I am not sure they will offer good prices for summer.

We have to fly Indianapolis to Orlando, so maybe it will happen for us! I really hate driving.

I just did a scan of the newsgroups, and a guy (who claimed to work for SWA) said that the fares will show up Feb 10th

Thanks! That won't be too long from now.

I called SW a couple of weeks ago as I'm looking for fares from ABQ to MCO for 6/29 and ret 7/7. Agent looked and said last year was 2nd week in Feb and thought it would likely be again, so 2/10 sounds about right. I'll be watching and waiting. Fares are abour $324 now and I need to , but last year, 2 weeks earlier were $224.

The reason we are paying $312 is because we are going during spring break week. Only 2 airlines fly non-stop from Hartford to Orlando. We go do disney every year (normally in November), and havent paid under $300 in years. If you fly out of NY, you obviously can get a better fare. I have checked Delta's fares since July for our April dates...they want $185 one way, and $299 back! No wonder they are in trouble financially.

DANAW are you flying Southwest? The reason I ask is that if you are, I am positive that you can pay much less flying out of Hartford going to Orlando (which is what you are doing anyway?) on April 12 or 13th (I calculated the date using your countdown, which may be inaccurate) and coming back a week or whatever later and there is still plenty of availability on the non stop flights. I could be wrong.... It is just a shame that you are paying so much.
It is easy to switch and you will be able to use the leftover on a future trip with southwest.

I usually fly SWA out of Manchester NH but have flown out of Hartford when the deals were better from there a couple years ago.

We booked Delta this trip as it was a lot less than SWA's lowest fare. Hope that wasn't a mistake!

Anyway, have fun! :wave2:

Wow Denisenh! Thanks for doing all that research for me. We are flying down on the 14th, at 7:40 p.m. (ugh) after the kids get out of school. We dont fly back until the following Sunday...that entire day is booked solid on Southwest. Its spring break week, so I guess that is why. If it wasn't for my kids school schedule, we would be leaving earlier in the week. Since my kids are both in high school this year, we didnt do our annual November trip, having them miss school. However, with all these snow days, we may have April break days taken away from us...but we are going anyways!!
