There is a great fare on SW now that I am tempted to purchase but would require me to pull DS (8) out of school. While I debate that, i dont want to lose the fare.

Am I correct in this - if I buy the tickets then decide not to go, i can use the tickets towards purchase of a future fare? Anyone ever done this?

THANKS!

I did this in December. Had tickets to go to Arizona with my Mom, then had to go to NYC to shoot a commercial that I didn't know I had to do, so I had to cut my AZ. trip short and fly back early. I canceled my mother's ticket completely and while the ticket was non-refundable, I applied the "TICKETLESS TRAVEL FUNDS" to a ticket to Las Vegas this month with no problems. The money was still there, I just had to use it toward something else. Good luck!

The only thing to keep in mind is that the credit must be used for TRAVEL within on year of original booking date. For example, today you book a flight for July. Later you have to cancel. You can use those ticketless travel funds to any flight before one year from today (not just booked, but actually traveled) Still - it's a great policy..
