They are having a 72 hr sale with travel through Nov 11 (airtran Nov 14) with some pretty good rates....philadelphia to mco $99 each way. Never seen it that low. Unfortunately I booked our rates for much more on USAir awhile back and can't take advantage of this but hopefully someone can.

Of course, my flights are still $185 each way even though they fall into the date ranges, but it will save us a bunch on Emily's trip to her dad's house for fall break! Thanks.

Some of the city pairs are actually not included in the sale. I have been checking our flights from Baltimore to MCO on a daily basis and it's still the same fare today. When I checked the list of cities included, BWI-MCO was not on it. :sad1:

Thanks so much for the heads up. I just booked our flights from Houston in October for $196 roundtrip. Yay!

I would call SWA and ask why ur rates are not $99? If it falls in the dates?

this sale supposed to be one price for all sane milage area. Baltimore and Philly to MCO should be same ..... should.

:thumbsup2 Airtran really has a great rate right now to be sure! I've been helping a young couple with their first trip, checking flights weekly. Cheapest from Memphis was $408pp roundtrip...and today?...drumroll please....... $216 pp!!!! It hasn't been that cheap here for the whole year! They are leaving out in October, so this was a deal! Grab it while you can! Doing the happy dance for them!!!!:banana::banana:

Seriously? Buying airfare isn't like shopping in a department store. The same flight is not always the same price.

Wow!!!! Did you wake up on the wrong side of UR bed??? This isn't English class, its a forum and we were talking about airfare? And I don't think it hurts to call UR airline to double check that UR not missing something!

I like to sign up with kayak.com and they watch airfare for me, and send a txt message when it drops to a rate that I set. I still check every so often to see what's going on, but it's worked well for the last 3 yrs.

The prices are "as low as"... My flights meet all the criteria (in the date ranges, nonstop, not on Friday or Sunday, etc.) for $99 each way, but they can actually sell them for anything they want because of those three little words.

Haha! Department stores do that too!

We are flying Southwest in October. 1 1/2 tickets paid by cash. 1 1/2 paid with points. As soon as I saw this on Facebook, I rebooked them. Have almost $300 in credits for the cash portions and more than 20K points back. If I had waited until this sale, I could have booked all three tickets on points.

I changed our flight from Sunday to Monday for the biggest saving. I'll have to convince my boss to give me another day off work, but I had the hotel room for Sunday night anyway at no extra cost. It was booked through Marriott points and they have a pay for four nights get the fifth free deal.

:cool1::cool1: Sheila :cool1::cool1:

P.S. I've never done this before and am not sure about the cash credits. Do they expire one year from the date I received them (yesterday)? I just have to use them to book another flight by the expiration date, correct? Southwest doesn't fly out of our home airport, so I've only flown them a couple of times. Driving 200 miles to fly with them.

Thanks.
