Does anyone know when you purchase Southwest airline tickets at the cheapest rate are you able to cancle and recieve a Southwest Credit for future travel?

Thanks Kelly

yes, I just did this last week. I had purchased tickets at $59 each way. 2 days later the same flights went on sale for $39 each way. I cancelled my original flights and then rebooked. I now have a $40 credit to use 12 months from the original ticket purchase date.

Yes, totally able to. The only hitch is that you need to complete your travel within the one year time frame from the purchase of the original ticket.

Thanks so much. My husband has to go to School in September for eight weeks and we booked tickets to las vegas. So we were thinking of going to disney instead because it works out to be cheaper in the long run. I just got back from Disney last weekend great trip.

We bought our tickets months ago at $150 a person. The airfare went down to $100 and we called up and asked for a refund and they gave it to us. You have to talk to a supervisor. They credited our account immediately. My friends that are going at the same time, did the same thing. No hassles. This was on Southwest and there are a lot of DISBOARDers that did the same thing when the prices dropped last month.
