I've been stalking flights for beginning of April from NY to Orlando....Southwest Airlines....and its so wierd......maybe someone has a clue to their pricing madness.......About a month ago it was $129 each way......recently went up to $133 each way......(whcih it was this afternoon).....tonight it's down to $124 each way. I've been trying to hold out for "sale pricing".....but any clues as to how/when I might see something better than the $124???
TIA
Good luck. I've been tracking Southwest fares from Albany to Orlando for a variety of dates since November 1. We actually decided to fly there the night of the 12th instead of the morning of the 13th because the first flight on the 13th was $288 (now it's $324) but the evening flight on the 12th was $135. The flight home on the 20th is $228 - not so bad. Our babysitter is coming down a couple of days after us and holy moly, the fares are way worse! The "wanna get away" fares were completely gone for the 15th so she had to switch to the 14th - $293 one way, and there were only 2 flights even available.

The only change in price at all has been UP.(well, yesterday one flight that had gone up went back down $5. woo hoo

NONE of the other flights have gone down - most have gone up about $25-$30, some have gone up over $100!
I bought my tickets on November 10 because I just couldn't risk even more flights selling out. I also looked at other carriers, but they were all comparable in price to Southwest anyway.
So...that was a long-winded response, sorry.

But my point is, there's just now way to know, and because it's spring break time and then Easter, I don't know that there will be much of a break in price. Here in ALB our spring break is the week of the 17th, and friends we're traveling with are from Wayne, NJ and their spring break is the week of the 10th.
