I just received notification that SWA is having a sale now through June 24th with fares as low as $39 one way. The fare depends on the distance you are traveling.

Here are the specifics from their website:

* Purchase by June 24, 2010, 11:59 pm Pacific Time.

* Travel September 8 through November 17, 2010.

* Travel valid every day except Fridays & Sundays.

* Fares do not include federal excise tax of $3.70 per takeoff and landing, airport-assessed passenger facility charges (PFC) of up to $9, and government-imposed September 11th Security Fee of up to $5 one-way.

Not a bad deal if you are planning on going to Orlando between Sep 8 and Nov 17

I just checked some random dates and most of the flights were $119.00 one way.

As for being refundable, Southwest has some of the most liberal cancellation policies. While the $119 fare is non-refundable, that doesn't mean you lose everything. If you cancel the flight, Southwest will give you credit toward a future flight and, unlike most other airlines, they won't charge a penalty to do so.

Thanks that is great to know!!! I Just had a someone call about an open document control job so I have mixed feeling haha I want a job but I want to go in September too haha man I wish I can have my cake and eat it too:rotfl2:

Thanks OP, your post made me check my flights in October...the flight down dropped by $15! I re-booked at the lower rate - saved $45! Nothing earth-shattering, but still a cool, cool move.
