Not sure if anyone has posted about this but incase you are unaware Southwest is running a great sale for their 40th anniversary that ends today. The dates for travel is Aug 23- Nov 16 and of course Fridays and Sundays are higher. The airfare depends on how far you are travelling $40 one way for 0-450 miles $80 one way for 451-1250 miles $120 one way for 1251+ miles

I got roundtrip airfare for 3 from SFO to SNA for $304.20 ($101.40 per person):cool1: Normally I can only find cheaper airfare into LAX and still not this cheap these days.

Hope this helps someone out there! :flower3:

American Airlines is also doing this, but I'm not sure when theirs ends. They are such great prices! It makes you want to plan a couple vacations! :cool1:

This deal made it where we are flying instead of driving. My mom and I both signed up for the southwest credit card and got the 30,000 bonus points after the first purchase. We were able to get all but 3 one way flights for our group of 7.

With the $99 annual fee on the two cards, the 3 OW flights, the security fees and early bird check-in for all of our flights home the total came to $99 per person :yay:

Almost had dm talked into a trip to wdw since the airfare was so cheap. It would have been less than $300 per person with taxes and fees Boise to Orlando. If only I had gotten a hold of her last night, she could have mulled it over for day and I would still have had time to purchase.

That's what I did I wasn't going to DLR this year but couldn't pass up the great deal so now I have a trip booked in September.

Wasn't that awesome!! I haven't seen prices like that in a while! It's about time cuz those prices were getting insane! Had they NOT gone on sale I would have had to pay the same prices to fly to Orange county that I was paying to fly to Orlando! NOT! We drove our last 2 trips because of it. Luckily we were also able to get 101 RT for our november trip!!

I hope they do this again because I have a trip in Feb coming up and paying 100 something one way is insane!

Glad everyone was able to get some good deals!!
