i want to purchase a flight (roundtrip) for my son as a suprise to meet us in wdw in feb-it is for his b-day. never flew southwest so should i buy roundtrip or one way in case of dings? the flight up is 54.00 but the return flight is the 213.00 refundable, this is during pres week, so i feel that this is an ok fare. any help would be great.

You could do it either way. BTW if your son is a college student, or youth, you may be able to get him a youth fare on that return. Call SW and ask about it.

I would purchase two one way tickets. That way if a Ding or sale comes up for only one leg of the trip, you can easily change just the one leg without cancelling the whole itinerary.

Yep, I agree. That's the way to go. 4 days ago I had zero credits. Now, thanks to dings I have over $400 in credits. Gotta love Southwest!

gotta love Southwest!!! Last April I purchased two rt fares PVD - MCO for over $500. By the time we flew in August, the fare had reduced to $210 for both tickets!!! How can you beat $105 rt pp???? The type A in me hates the wait for SW to open their dates, but I love, love, love their sales and cancellation policies. They can't be beat!
